About Jide

Jide has worked in UK financial services for more than 30 years. He started out in life assurance in 1992, ran his own mortgage brokerage for nearly ten years, and most recently spent eleven years as a mortgage and protection adviser before joining SM Finance.

His clients range from first-time buyers to high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients, and much of his business has come through referrals. He holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP).

Outside work, Jide is interested in renewable energy, plays pool and table tennis, and follows football and basketball.

Career

• 1992 – Started in life assurance, in tied agent and independent adviser roles
• 1999 – Qualified with CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice)
• 2004 – Ran his own mortgage brokerage for nearly ten years
• 2014 – Mortgage and protection adviser, eleven years advising clients
• 2026 – Joined SM Finance as Mortgage and Protection Adviser
